Booking Flights
Palermo (PMO)
Some people will be flying into Rome, Milan or Venice. From there and depending on your other vacation plans, you will have two options for airports (listed below) nearest to our venue in Castellammare del Golfo. There are cheap flights from most major Italian airports to Sicily. Try using Kayak.com or flights.google.com to see what is available and cheaper.
Option 1: Palermo Airport (Falcone–Borsellino Airport) This is the main airport in and out of Sicily. Most of you will likely be flying through here. It is a 35-minute drive to Castellammare.
Option 2: Trapani Airport (Vincenzo Florio Airport) This is a smaller airport, but we have flown into and out of here. It is a 45-minute drive to Castellammare.
Typically I use google flights to find the best flights from my home city to Europe. I then look for a second flight from that European city to Palermo.

Uber and Lyft haven't made it to Sicily yet. You can take and call taxis from the airport but there are rarely any taxis in town.
Here is a list of taxis near PMO to Castellammare.
Ask you hotel for what they recommend.
There is a wide selection of rental car companies at the airport. Named Brands are better than unknown carriers. Just remember, the cars are going to be smaller and will not be automatic unless you request it. They will also have larger cars, like minivans or SUVs, but they might be a tight squeeze on the narrower streets in town.
Parking on the side streets is usually free. There are a couple paid parking lots and on the main streets there is metered parking . If you are driving, please reach out to your respective hotels on where it is best to park.
If you are coming for a short time you might not want to bother with the hassle of renting a car and driving on smaller roads. We will be providing transportation for the welcome party and the wedding. Castellammare is a walkable town with a lot to see. The beach is a short bus ride down the hill too. However, if you prefer to travel to different cities and have the freedom of having a car, then definitely rent. Some Companies need an international driving license to rent.
Average 1 week car rental:
